FAQS

Every baby’s image is different and there are several factors that determine the clarity of an ultrasound image. The amount of amniotic fluid surrounding the baby, gestational age, the position of the baby, and the mother’s physical condition are a few of the factors that affect the image. We cannot guarantee that your images will be similar to others you might have seen.

  • What images can I expect to see at different stages of my pregnancy?

    • At 10-12 weeks you may see the heartbeat.
    • At 13-15 weeks heartbeat and crown-rump image are visible, showing baby’s early growth.
    • At 16+ weeks there are more details of baby’s growth.  Gender reveal is often possible at this time.
    • The optimal time for detailed images and gender reveal is 18-20 weeks.
  • Is this a substitute for a check up with my doctor?

Although our staff are ARDMS trained and registered with years of experience in ultrasound imaging, our services are non-diagnostic and for entertainment purposes only. This is not a substitute for visiting with your physician.

  • How do I prepare for my exam?

Come hydrated, drink plenty of water before coming in for better results. Bring a juice box, drinking juice may help encourage movement if the baby is not in the ideal position for imaging.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

We do not offer refunds, however you may reschedule a return visit at no additional charge if we are unable to determine gender. The return visit will be for gender determination only.

Children are welcomed if they are able to remain seated comfortably with a mask for up to a half hour  (each child counts as one guest).
